Description

Quiko Hand-rearing Formula is a complete and nutritious food for hand feeding of parrots and parakeets. It is a nutritious diet for hand feeding of baby birds. This mixture is produced in a special processing process that results in an instantly soluble product with the so important, correct bacteria level for the young bird.

Preparation of the mixture by age:
- Hatching up to 2 days: 1 part Hand-rearing Formula + 6 parts water
- 2 to 5 days: 1 part of Hand-rearing Formula + 2 to 3 parts of water
- 5 days until ready to feed: 1 part Hand-rearing Formula + 1.5 to 2parts water

In a clean, hygienic container, mix rearing food and warm water into a creamy mass according to the table in the instructions for use.Mix thoroughly and let stand 1 minute. Cool the prepared mixture to 40°C.

Feed the finished mixture using a disposable syringe or tube. Usually each meal is about 10-12% of the bird's body weight. Disinfect all feeding utensils before each use. If additives are desired, fruits and vegetables (such as pureed baby food) can be fed. However, this should not be more than 20% of the total diet.
