Harrison's Neonate Formula is a highly digestible food for hand-reared baby parrots and parakeets from the time of hatching until the age of 1-3 weeks, and songbird species from the first day of life until the birds eat independently. With newborn parrots, about 4 hours after hatching, lactic acid bacteria is given and then Neonate Formula. In the fourth and fifth week of life slowly switch to Harrison's Juvenile Formula. Mix the powder with hot water and feed the creamy liquid at a temperature of 40-41 degrees. It is recommended that digestive enzymes (Harrison's Avian Enzyme) are added to the prepared mixture. Gently feel the crop to determine that it is almost empty before feeding again, and increase the amount gradually. Young birds aged 1-4 days are fed every 2 hours. Older birds every 3-4 hours with a break between 23:00 and 06:00. Young birds of 4-5 weeks should be fed every 8 hours. Weigh young birds daily to check their weight gain.
